WHAT WE DO AT NANOTICA

We developed a new nanoencapsulation technology to lower the required dose of agrochemicals, while we reduce pollution and improve food safety. The use of nanotechnologies helps to boost the effectiveness of products, but their high costs and low stability are limiting factors. For this reason, we provide farmers a “nanotizer machine” and empty capsules, for them to nanoencapsulate their pesticides in situ at the application moment. In this way, farmers increase their earnings and diminish pollution as they use less agrochemicals and lower their costs.

WE ENHANCE THE EFFICIENCY OF AGROCHEMICALS DELIVERY

Our technology maximices the effect of pesticides, even at lower dose that the recommended. The nanoencapsulated particle penetrates the cell walls and tissues in a better way than the traditional ones. This is possible due to its nano size and the structure’s personalization.

WE REDUCE COSTS

Nanoencapsulated agrochemicals are efficient at a lower dose and therefore, this technology reduces costs as the required amount of product is lower. For example, a nanoencapsulated premium fungicide can achieve up to a 10 USD saving per hectare.

WE REDUCE POLLUTION

Only a small amount of the crop applied agrochemicals is absorbed and used by plants. The large portion remaining reaches soil and contaminates the environment. We are focused on improving the agrochemicals absorption efficiency and reducing the use of pesticides to lower the negative impact.

IN HOUSE TESTING

We achieved a significant improvement in post-emergent herbicide activity with pesticide nanoencapsulation. The active principle effectivity is better than the traditional product which has no nanoencapsulation applied to it.

We proved that the nanotized graminicides have a higher weeds inhibition activity even at low doses, when compared to traditional versions.

We reduced up to a 1000 times the commercial dose of Zinc oxide for seed coating with our nanoencapsulation tech. This compound is a common microfertilizer used to promote growth in rice and corn.

WITH FARMERS

In field trials we reduced fungicide dose up to 50% in soybean and peanut crops and lemons plantation. We nanoencapsulated several products of different brands and compared them to their 100% dose effectiveness.

Nanotized fungicides dose was reduced to a half achieving the same effectiveness as the traditional products.

In Tucumán we worked on lemon plantations and we assessed nanoZinc oxide effectiveness combined with copper oxide on which is a widely used product for citric diseases control.
